U.S. COLLEGE CLUB SOCCER UNVEILS 2024 POSTSEASON AWARDS
Inaugural Player and Coach of the Year Awards, All-American Teams Become New Staple of College Club Soccer Season
NEW YORK (Dec. 12, 2024) – Continuing in its mission to elevate the college club game, US College Club Soccer (USCCS) unveiled its 2024 Postseason Awards this week, with the inaugural recognition encompassing National Player and Coach of the Year, as well as National All-American Teams for both the Women’s and Men’s divisions of college club soccer.
“We are honored to bring national recognition to this outstanding class of exceptional student-athletes and coaches,” said Jon Fleishman, USCCS Executive Director. “US College Club Soccer exists to support the growth of soccer at this level, and these national awards, from here forward, will ensure that the best collegiate club soccer players receive recognition for their performance on the field.”
The 2024 USCCS Postseason Awards are presented by Capelli Sport, the founding partner of USCCS. Capelli Sport has made a significant, multi-year investment in US College Club Soccer, and is supporting USCCS’s efforts to develop college club soccer within the American soccer landscape.
WOMEN’S AND MEN’S PLAYER OF THE YEAR, PRESENTED BY CAPELLI SPORT USCCS is pleased to recognize University of Georgia forward Jordan Nowicki as the 2024 National Women’s Player of the Year and Ohio State University midfielder Andrew Juarez as the 2024 National Men’s Player of the Year.
Nowicki helped lead the Lady Bulldogs to an overall 11W-1L-4D record, en route to claiming the Region II Tournament championship and finishing as a National Semifinalist in Round Rock, Texas last month.
Meanwhile, Juarez paced the Buckeyes to an impressive 16W-1L-3D overall record, helping the club claim the MASC Eastern Division crown, the Region III Tournament co championship and a runner-up finish at last month’s National Tournament.
WOMEN’S AND MEN’S COACH OF THE YEAR, PRESENTED BY CAPELLI SPORT USCCS is proud to recognize Cal Poly’s Barbara Wong as the 2024 Women’s Coach of the Year and Brigham Young University’s Brandon Gilliam as the 2024 Men’s Coach of the Year.
Wong guided the Cal Poly Women’s Soccer Club to a 10W-2L-2D record, leading the Mustangs to an inspirational National Tournament run which included a dramatic shootout victory against the University of Michigan in the semifinals before topping UCLA 1-0 to claim its second National Championship in three years.
Gilliam led the BYU Men’s side to a perfect 18W-0L-0D record, claiming the West Coast Soccer Association’s Utah Division title, leading to a dominant run at the National Tournament and culminating with a 1-0 victory against Ohio State to claim the program’s fifth-consecutive National Championship.
WOMEN’S AND MEN’S ALL-AMERICAN TEAMS, PRESENTED BY CAPELLI SPORT USCCS is please to recognize its 2024 Women’s and Men’s National All-Americans. After collecting nominations from college club programs from around the United States, the All American Teams were determined via USCCS’s network of scouts at the regional tournaments held around the country earlier this fall. Seven players from each region were selected for their respective National All-American Teams.

Introduced in 2024, US College Club Soccer (USCCS) is the first and only national organization established specifically for the purpose of supporting college club soccer teams and student-athlete development. The organization’s mission is to unite every college club soccer team in the U.S. under a single banner, and provide resources and support systems that make clubs stronger, more effective and lasting.
